Why Customers Send Hoverboards for Repair.

Just like all gadgets and mobile phones, all Hoverboards for sale are made in China. However, it is entirely up to the vendor what kind of materials are used, how safe and reliable they are and whether or not they’re certified under all British directives of safety.
Many dodgy Hoverboard sellers disguise themselves as genuine, reputable vendors. However, they’re in fact using inferior internal components to cut down costs. The first part that gets the cut, is the battery. At HOVERBOARD-PRO we supply 21 Cell Lithium-ion Samsung batteries which ensure your Hoverboards longevity. Others will use cheap Chinese branded half batteries of 11 or 14 cells, which will cause your Hoverboard to malfunction.
A cheap Hoverboard is an indicator of knock-off PCB components being used, including the motherboard and gyroscopes. Unfortunately, these Hoverboards operate on notoriously unreliable dual-circuit systems which are cheaper to manufacture at the expense of safety and reliability. Due to this, many of these don’t survive well and will cause your Hoverboard to malfunction, especially when using a HoverKart. Our range utilises authentic conventional circuit systems so you can avoid sending your Hoverboard in for repair.
Our Hoverboards use 350W dual silent drive German wheel motors totalling 700W. Which is more than most sellers who tend to supply 200W motors. Having lower wattage means that you will exert your Hoverboard extremely quickly, causing the wheels to heat up. This also puts a massive strain on the internal components, especially with the cheap dual circuit motors that some sellers use. Hoverboard Misuse: What to avoid!
Hoverboard riders can glide their Hoverboard indoors, outdoors, on wooden floors, tarmac pavements, cobbled streets and much more! However, at times, misusing your board puts it under stress and can cause your Hoverboard to malfunction. For example, we do not advise you to ride the majority of Hoverboards on grass or wet conditions. This can cause water ingress damage as no Hoverboard is waterproof! The 8.5” Hummer Hoverboard is the only model available with IP54 water resistance grading, allowing it to withstand some water contact. However, it is still not waterproof.
Overcharging or under-charging are other factors that might be detrimental to the life of your Hoverboard. All HOVERBOARD-PRO boards are powered using official Samsung batteries, which can’t be left in storage for too long. If you are putting your Hoverboard aside for a while, we recommend giving your board a 10-minute top-up charge every fortnight or unplug the battery from the motherboard (ask us to do it).
When charging, ensure that the charger is inserted into the charging port correctly. This is due to improper alignment of the indent with the groove of the device causing the charger port to break and possibly damage your charger. This common example of misuse is another reason customers send Hoverboards for repair.
