• Cleaning

  Ah yes, the dreaded word! It shouldn’t scare you, as cleaning your Hoverboard is extremely easy. Simply wipe down the outer casing with a damp cloth or a wet wipe regularly after use and you’re all set! This helps to maintain its outstanding shine and keep the body shell intact.

Don’t forget the wheels! They’re actually even more important to maintain dust and debris free. As you can see when you check underneath your Hoverboard, the wheels run inside the casing where the motors are attached internally. Therefore, leaving your wheels dirty may cause issues with the components inside. Nobody wants that, prevention is better than cure my friends! We suggest you check the wheels regularly and use a soft brush to remove debris. This will all help you maintain your Hoverboard.

• Storage tips to Maintain Your Hoverboard

          We know it’s hard to get off your Hoverboard, but at times, this bad boy has to go into storage. When you want to take a break, make sure you’re doing this properly. Avoid storing your Hoverboard in an outer building like a shed or a garage that could potentially be damp. Leave your Hoverboard in a dry and well-ventilated environment will ensure the longevity of the motherboard and battery.

Another thing to consider is, batteries and high temperatures are not a good combination! Although we use the Official Samsung lithium-ion batteries, high temperatures don’t discriminate.  This could seriously damage your battery and reduce the life of your board. Also, If you are putting your Hoverboard aside for a while, we recommend giving your board a 10-minute top-up charge every fortnight or unplugging the battery from the motherboard. Help to maintain your hoverboard to use it again by storing it correctly.

• Battery Tips to Maintain Your Hoverboard

Make sure your battery is not undercharged; If you have just received your Hoverboard and use it without making the first charge, you can probably damage it! Overcharging a battery is also an issue, we recommend against charging overnight. Although our Hoverboards have a cut-off element when in full charge, this will deplete your battery; especially when repeated over time!

Just like your smartphone, Hoverboards can heat up when they are continuously used. Therefore, after an enthusiastic session, let the battery of your board rest and cool down before using again or plugging in to charge. Maintain your Hoverboard by applying special attention to that battery.

• Riding

Riding carefully is vital to maintain your Hoverboard. We don’t recommend experimenting with extremely tough terrains. Although our robust off-road 8.5” Hummer can handle a little bit more than the other models; this certainly doesn’t mean hit up the forest! If you do, the platform and tires will wear out eventually.

We advise against riding on grass or wet conditions; this is a sure way to water damage as no Hoverboard is waterproof! If you are putting your Hoverboard aside for a while, we recommend giving your board a 10-minute top-up charge every fortnight or unplug the battery from the motherboard (ask us to do it).

When charging, ensure that the charger is inserted into the charging port correctly. This is due to improper alignment of the indent with the groove of the device causing the charger port to break and possibly damage your charger.
